The Norfolk Musician's Association (NMA), chartered November 1st, 1900, as Local 125 of the American Federation of Musicians (AFM), offers professional musicians in Eastern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina benefits and services designed to support and enhance both their career and personal life. The NMA offers professional music of virtually all styles to Hampton Roads and the Outer Banks. Local 125 serves approximately 180 members including instrumentalists, composers, conductors, arrangers, copyists, librarians, and vocalists.
